Congrats to Chris founder of CtotheJL.com for in Time Out New York’s Article.
Chris Lee, 21, founder of CtotheJL.com; Long Island City, Queens, and Los Angeles
His style: “Simple.”
His inspirations: “My friends and the people I work with inspire me: We all feed off each other’s styles to create our own.”
Favorite local stores: “Reed Space offers the latest clothing from brands like 10.Deep, Mishka and Staple. A few doors over is Prohibit NYC, the same place that made my Revolutionary Varsity jacket. If you’re looking for a team hat or apparel, New Era has you covered. Blades Board & Skate has products from Nike SB, Supra, Lakai and more. Supreme offers an in-house line that kids stand in line for days to buy. A Bathing Ape has been around for years, and their collection only continues to grow stronger. Lastly, I like Goliath; the people make it feel homey.”
Biggest splurge: “$300 for a pair of black Nike Air Yeezys. Retail was $215, but the shops were up-charging like crazy. I don’t wear the sneakers, but it’s a good feeling knowing I have them.”
Favorite local designer: “Denis Iderman. He designs for Mighty Healthy. I’ve known him for a few years now, and have a been a huge fan of his graphic tees and more recent cut-and-sew apparel.”
Favorite winter trend: “Beanies. Every season I buy 15 to 20 of them; you can never have too many.”
Most hated trend: “When girls wear Ugg boots. I understand they’re warm, but come on!”
